Polka Dot Shorts and a Man in the Window

Today has already been really off. Firstly, I went to bed around 1 am, which is highly unusual for me. Since becoming a mommy, I have had the sleeping pattern of a sixty year old woman--you know, hitting the sheets around 830 or 9? But last night Jenna and I had a rare night out without Lily, and we saw a late movie. It was nice and relaxing; we saw Monster in Law which was corny but also funny:

Viola: Nobody would even care if I died!
Ruby: I would. You promised me facelift.

So anyways, things were already weird when I went to bed. Then, this morning Shane didn't even say goodbye to me before he left for work. I don't know if he forgot, but I definietly will not forget. Around 8, I woke up and happend to glance out the window through the blinds, and I saw a man standing outside. Obviously, I freaked out. We live on the bottom floor of the apartments, so its always kind of scary, and now I thought my worst fears were coming true. Then, I realized Lily wasn't awake. Which was nice because for Lily, sleeping past 7 or so is sleeping in. So I ran into her room to make sure she was ok. Then I went out the front door and around the back. I was in these hideous pink polka dot pajama shorts and a gigantic teeshirt that my mother got me from Folkfest with a gigantic weirdo angel woman on it saying, "Are you ready to meet God? Be ye ready..." Which is also sort of odd that I am wearing a shirt saying that. It's also kind of weird that my mom even bought me that.

Anyways, I approached the man and realized he was someone who worked for the apartment complex. I bid him good morning and pretended to just be looking around like a nature lover or something. He was only fiddling with a meter outside...so I felt dumb.

I went back to bed. I awoke at 10 and was shocked to discover that Lily was still asleep. She never sleeps that late. I'm guessing she doesn't feel too good. She was fussy all day yesterday.

So that was my sort of off morning. This is actually a pretty boring entry. Sorry.

Kat and Jen are coming over soon. And Meg is supposed to be too. I guess I need to get out of these polka dot shorts now. C'ya.
